Mary Campbell (1921-2007) graduated from the University of Manitoba as a dietician. She worked at Deer Lodge and for the Province of Manitoba. Mary was a volunteer with the Winnipeg Music Festival. She especially enjoyed supporting and working with the young singers who performed at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. She was a strong supporter of all the arts, bringing her nieces and nephews to the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Rainbow Stage and concerts at the Centennial Concert Hall.

Mary Campbell Memorial Bursaries are awarded to the winner of the Alma Wynne Memorial Trophy and to the winner of the Harold L. Scarth Memorial Trophy.  The Alma Wynne Memorial Trophy is awarded for the most outstanding performance in a competition of vocalists, 18 years of age and under.  The Harold L. Scarth Memorial Trophy is awarded for the most outstanding performance in a competition of boys with unchanged voices, 12 and 14 years of age & under.
