Own choice, two consecutive movements of a sonata. This is the only English horn class at this grade/level in which sonata movements by a Baroque, Classical or Romantic composer may be played.

(S) CLASS 5435 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, 20TH/21ST CENTURY COMPOSERS, HONOURS
One selection, own choice. Works by Canadian composers must be entered in the Canadian Composers class.

(S) CLASS 5436 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, 20TH/21ST CENTURY SONATA, HONOURS
Own choice, two consecutive movements of a sonata. This is the only English horn class at this grade/level in which sonata movements by a 20th/21st Century or Canadian composer may be played.

(S) CLASS 5437 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, CANADIAN
COMPOSERS, HONOURS
One selection, own choice. This is the only English horn class at this grade/level eligible for recommendation to the Senior Canadian Composers class at the Provincial Festival.

(S) CLASS 7704 MULTI-DISCIPLINE W.A. MOZART, SENIOR
One selection, own choice. May be a transcription of W.A. Mozart’s work. Time limit 10 minutes. No piano concertos. Instrumental sonatas, one movement only. Please specify instrument on entry form.

CLASS 5444 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, CONCERTO, HONOURS
Own choice, one movement of a concerto. Orchestral part to be played on piano. This is the only English horn class at this grade/level in which a concerto movement may be played

CLASS 5445 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, OWN CHOICE, HONOURS
One selection, own choice. Time limit 12 minutes.

CLASS 5446 ENGLISH HORN SOLO, RECITAL GROUP,
HONOURS
Three selections, own choice, by one or more composers.
Participants will receive adjudication only. Time limit 15 minutes.

These classes are restricted to mature adults, from beginner to advanced levels, who wish to perform in a festival setting. These classes are open to entries from all woodwind instruments. Performances will be evaluated in accordance with the standard appropriate for the level of study.
